The Deaf Ministry Program at SIBI is a three‑year training program that equips students to share the Gospel with the Deaf and to serve alongside Deaf Christians. Open to both Deaf and hearing students, the program is designed to bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing worlds through biblical teaching and practical ministry training.
Students receive much of the same biblical instruction as the two‑year Biblical Studies program, with additional courses specifically tailored to Deaf ministry. All classes are taught by experienced Bible instructors who bring both knowledge and compassion to the classroom.
For hearing graduates who wish to serve more deeply, Christian Interpreter Training is available as additional preparation to minister effectively to the Deaf community.

SUPPORT US
Every year, passionate men and women feel called to ministry but face one major obstacle: finances. Many cannot relocate to Lubbock with their families, and local congregations often cannot provide full support.
Thanks to online courses, students are now studying with us from seven countries across three continents. Several Deaf alumni have stepped in to help, but as enrollment grows, so does the need for student aid.
They need our help. Your gift — whether one‑time or monthly — directly supports students in the Deaf Ministry Program, equipping them with the tools and training to share the Gospel.
Imagine the impact when these men and women, trained through Sunset’s biblically sound and in‑depth study, go out to serve the Deaf community worldwide.
